Short description

Elmer’s practice has been centred on civil litigation and white collar crime defence.
He has significant experience acting for international and local market leaders in complex disputes that demand novel approaches.
Elmer has successfully represented clients in disputes before the Supreme Court of Estonia in numerous cases that have helped to shape Estonian legal landscape.
He is also active as a member and a lecturer for Estonian Bar Association’s Legal Ethics and Practice Committee and a co-author of several books about various legal issues.

  • Representing Mr Zand in various actions against Ms Lust on account of disclosure of incorrect information.
  • Member of the team defending Mr Kruuda against charges of tax fraud and perjury.
  • Representing a subsidiary of Lietuvos Energija in connection with permits for use of wind generators in Lääneranna rural municipality and claims for damages.

  • Representing Forum Cinemas AS in a dispute over a claim for damages against a former management board member.

  • Successful representation of a postal service company in a competition law-related dispute over allegations of abuse of market dominance.
  • Defending Selver AS in criminal proceedings on a charge of an offence relating to competition.
  • Successful representation of an Estonian market leader in a dispute between a minority shareholder and NASDAQ OMX Tallinn regarding valuation of shares and delisting of the company from Tallinn Stock Exchange.
