International conference “Future of Tech”

VU Faculty of Law organizes international conference on technologies and law. Scholars and practitioners from all around the world will discuss challenges of artificial intelligence, biotechnologies, data protection and cyber security and also Fintech.

This conference aims at discussing some of the most uncertain areas related to emerging technologies. We will raise unsettled challenges to ensure human rights while developing and using artificial intelligence, discuss key issues with regard to development of biotechnologies, consider the importance of data protection and cyber security and debate the relevance of adequate response of law-making authorities in the field of financial technologies.

Robert Juodka, Managing Partner at PRIMUS in Lithuania, will be one of the speakers at the I session “Artificial Intelligence and Human Rights”. The title of his presentation is “Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Democracy”.

This conference is also dedicated to commemorate 440th birthday of Vilnius University.
